Chief program officers usually work on executive teams and report to the CEO, and are responsible for providing leadership in creating and implementing programs. These programs must be evaluated regularly for effectiveness and improved where necessary, and chief program officers must also track and report how services are delivered and support their findings with objective data including statistics, research, and objective evaluation tools.
